TRANSPORTATION
Airport:
The closest airport is Florence Peretola (FLR), approximately a 1.5-hour drive from the venue. You may also opt to fly into Rome, then a road trip to the venue about 2.5 hours from there.
We've created a spreadsheet template to help you compare flight costs while you choose which airports to come in and out of. You can access it here, on Google Sheets. Select "File" > "Make a Copy" to edit and plan privately.
Car Rental:
We recommend renting a car at the airport for convenient travel to and from the venue. A car is essential for exploring Tuscany beyond the main cities, and we advise booking rental cars in advance to ensure availability and secure competitive rates. Good news for our Canadian and American guests: Italians drive on the right side of the road!
For guests arriving at Florence Peretola Airport (FLR) or Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO), several reputable car rental companies are available:
Taxi:
To hire a driver for transfer from the airport to your hotel, we recommend booking one of the following services in advance to ensure availability and confirm pricing.

Once in the countryside, only local taxi services are available, and they do not operate 24/7. However, our venue will assist guests by providing contact details for reliable local drivers during their stay.
Train:
The nearest train station is Chiusi-Chianciano. You can take a 3-hour train from Florence to Monticchiello and then hire a private car from the list above to reach the venue.
Visa Information:
If you are Canadian or American, you will not need a visa to travel to Italy.
Just make sure your passport is up to date.
VENUE
All scheduled wedding events will be at the beautiful Terre di Nano, a 19th-century country estate surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, rolling hills and woods. Weather permitting, the celebrations will take place outdoors.
Beyond the scheduled wedding events, you’re welcome to take full advantage of everything the estate offers. Whether you’re staying on-site or in nearby accommodations, feel free to enjoy a swim in one of the two outdoor pools, visit the charming farm animals, or explore the olive grove during your downtime. The estate is yours to enjoy.
The venue is in Val d’Orcia, South of Tuscany, very close to delightful Montepulciano and Pienza, where you can experience the Tuscan life while enjoying excellent locally sourced food and wine, all while admiring breathtaking views.
ACCOMODATIONS
You're welcome to stay on-site in one of the beautiful rooms at Terre di Nano, subject to availability. Rooms are €190 per night, including breakfast. To secure a room, you must select Terre di Nano as your lodging choice when you RSVP. Payment will be taken at check-in, but bookings must go through us as we've reserved the entire property. You cannot book directly with the venue.
Rooms can be shared, and many have twin beds that can be kept separate or pushed together to form a queen. If you’re sharing a room with another guest who has RSVP’d separately, please reach out to us so we can pair you together. Once all rooms are filled, we will remove Terre di Nano from the RSVP form as a lodging option.
If you'd prefer to stay elsewhere, we've compiled a list of charming hotels and intimate bed & breakfasts, all personally recommended by our wedding planner, a local expert on the area. You will need to book off-site accommodations directly with the hotel.
DRESS CODE
We recommend formal cocktail attire for scheduled wedding events such as the ceremony, reception, and welcome party. Don't be afraid to go for vibrant colours and dramatic shapes. The slideshow below can be used as a mood reference and inspiration for scheduled events.
Feel free to wear resort casual attire between scheduled events and the morning after the wedding. It will likely be warm and sunny on our wedding weekend.
CHILDREN
We are delighted to celebrate with you and truly appreciate the effort it takes to travel for our wedding. While we adore your little ones, we kindly request that key moments—including the welcome party, ceremony, and reception—remain adults-only.
For those travelling with children, we encourage making childcare arrangements for these events. If there is enough interest, we will happily arrange on-site babysitting at the venue to assist with logistics. Please let us know through the RSVP form if this would be helpful. Your presence means the world to us, and we want to make attending as seamless as possible. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
